Default Is it normal to feel lightheaded when starting met?

I started Gluco XR on Tuesday night, right now at just 500mg/day working my way up to 2000mg/day. In the past couple of days I have had a few scary lightheaded episodes where I swear I thought I was going to pass out. Could it be due to the met? Also, I am 9 dpo and sometimes I get lightheaded in my luteal phase, but usually not to this extent nor this often, so I was thinking perhaps it was the met? Anyone else experience this? Otherwise my side effects are okay, other than intermittent nausea. Thanks!

Are you eating when taking the XR? Everything I've seen from reading messages is that you definitely need to eat with it. I'm on metformin and I know that I didn't eat right away one day and it gave me horrible indigestion.

Yes, I take it at night with dinner, so it's definitely on a full stomach. The lightheadedness seems to occur the next day, usually midmorning to midday. Come to think of it, it's much worse when my stomach is empty -- I wonder if perhaps the met is somehow affecting my blood sugar and making me a bit hypoglycemic. Thanks for the suggestion.
