Default normal levels but ALL the symptoms?

Hi! Has anyone had experience with having normal levels, but having most of the symptoms of hypothyroidism? The only level that is a little off is my free T4, which is 0.85 in a range of 0.8-2.9. The research that I've been doing says find a doctor who will treat your symptoms rather than your labs. I'm wondering if, even though I'm in the "normal" range, my body just isn't happy with a level that low?

Do I have ANY chance finding a doctor who will treat me, when my LSH and free T3 are perfectly normal?

This is the list I found:
*Fatigue - check
*Weakness - check
*Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight - double check
*Coarse, dry hair - nope, mine's oily
*Dry, rough pale skin - check
*Hair loss - I have hirsutism, so no
*Cold intolerance - quadruple check
*Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches - check
*Constipation - check
*Depression - check
*Irritability - check
*Memory loss - check
*Abnormal menstrual cycles - not really
*Decreased libido - nope

Yes I am going through the same exact thing, I actually have an app. with a doc tomorrow and I am going to get a second opinion about my thyroid. My old doc thinks since my levels are "normal" then everything is fine. When it is not I feel like crap and have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism still and I still have some room to play around with in my ranges as it sounds like you do too. But yeah what you found out from your research is correct we just need to find a doc that will listen to us not a piece of paper. I couldn't believe at first doctors were like this, but yeah it sucks thats just why us thyroid patients have to be our own advocate.

You might want to try and find a doc on this list

I haven't tried any docs on there yet...hopefully I won't have too.

Well, I'm glad to know I'm not alone, even though I'm sorry you have to go through this too! I would love to hear how your dr.'s appt. goes today.

Thanks for the link. If I can't get my current doctor to cooperate, I may have to check them out!

Best of luck.

It's definitely possible and even likely.

Most people feel best with their ft3 and ft4 towards the top of the range.
