Default "Normal" looking ovaries??

Today I went for an ultrasound of my reproductive organs. My OB/GYN put me on Met last week. During my u/s the tech said my ovaries didn't look like typical PCOS ovaries. There was one spot that was smaller than a cyst, barely smaller than 1 cm (which is the size they classify it as a cyst). I have the other symptoms of PCOS - hairiness, weight issues, acne, loooooong days between AF, and my husband and have been unprotected for over a year.

Anyone else have experience with this? My blood tests were last week, and when I go back for my yearly next week, I'll talk about those and the u/s results.

I was a little hopeful though, because the tech said there was another spot on one of the ovaries that looked like a dominant folicle was developing, so maybe I'll O in the next few days. Think it's too late to start measuring my BBT to know for sure?

Many women with pcos have normal, cyst-free ovaries.

The name pCos is really unfortunate, it's not a disorder of the ovaries, or one that hinges on cysts.

Cysts on ovaries is just one possible symtom and not everybody does gets all symptoms. Also the disease is progressive, so you may not have cystic ovaries yet... but given you have the other symptoms you may develop that especially if your weight increases as you age.....
If you have the symptoms you mentioned you definately need the met - in fact the met will save you from progessing further inot the conditon and save you from lots of longterm diseases that insulin resistance can cause or contribute to like
: type 2 diabetes
heart diseases
various cancers
alzheimers disease.

Great you are on the met. Low GI carbing is great as well
