Question Normal side effect?

Hey everyone! I'm a newbie to met and have a question.
I've been on met for two whole days now. I was so nervous about taking it reading all of the horror stories here but I figured everyone was different so I might as well at least give it a try.
Yesterday went ok. I had some of the intestinal cramping as I expected but no um, ah, emergency bathroom breaks if you know what I mean.
Today though, I've had NO appetite and (sorry if TMI and I'm embarassed to say but) gas. My tummy is making such weird noises - I'm sure everyone can hear! Has anyone else had this on met??

I'm told it's normal, I didn't have the gas but my appetite vanished. My appetite has come back, moderately.

yep, same for me. I've been on it for almost 2 weeks and my appetite was gone last week, but i seem to be eating more this week (thanks, AF!) I have noticed that although my appetite has come back, I no longer YEARN for sugar the way I used to. Good Luck to ya!

Same here. I'm on my 3rd week back on met and have had the stomach issues as well as the gas and loss of appetite. I also seem to be a bit nauseous, but it comes and goes, so I'm sure once my body is adjusted to the new dosage it will settle down.

I just started today so I obviously don't know but just wanted you to know that we're in the same boat (as far as just starting the Metformin)!
