Is it normal to be so *****y before and during your period?
Me and brother got into it last night and he says I am using pmsing/my period as an exscue to be *****y. Which is so untrue. He says he doesn't know many woman that get *****y during that time and those that do are just using it as an exscues. He made me feel really down, like maybe I am just being a *****, but I know I get really bad that time of the month. I wonder if it's because I am on bcp to have my periods and my body is just that way because of the hormone issues that come with pcos.

Well, I have the same issue. I am not on BCP. My hubby knows when that time is comming though. It is bad. I am angry and cry alot. I hate it so much. Don't let it get you down. Just stay away from him or something. Atleast you know you are not alone now! LOL

I used to get really bad and fly off the handle. I took control of it though. Every time I feel myself getting emotional or pi**sed off I check it. I ask myself if the situation would have made me react that way last week and 9 times out of 10 the answer is no....so I pull it back! I also take Vitex which really helps with my irritability.

i get like it!! from about when i should be ovulating and it gets worse until i'm a couple of days into my period, then it goes away till the next time. I tend to go silent to save myself from spazzing out at everyone. And i warn my kids that mum's getting grumpy so be good. it's frustrating aye, i hate pcos too
My hubby says I get very grumpy when I'm pmsing. Sometimes I don't even know when I'm doing it but other times I feel so annoyed and frustrated with everything and I can't help it. He says it's ok though and he understands.

I also get really *****y the week before I get my period. I really wish I wasn't like that I can sometimes treat my boyfriend really crappy when I'm PMSing, but he is great he knows that I get that way and knows to just stay away and not do anything that could make me mad. I also have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression which gets worse the week before my period. I have been wondering for a while if this is due to the hormones I'm getting in my pills I just don't know
Yeah I honestly don't know how DH can live with me! I take provera on a regular basis, and from about day 3 on the provera through the end of AF (about 15 days) I am rather irritable and moody. I asked my doctor about it and told that it is a common s/e of the provera though. Not sure if that helps you or not!
Glory to God, I am not alone!!! I am down right horrible before my cycle. I am shocked my DH puts up with it. I would love to know how all of you are able to "check" yourselves. I have a very hard time with it. I'm really serious too...I mean I hate myself at times! I'd LOVE your input!!!
I very recently started becoming incredibly irritable before my period. It starts about a week before. In every day life, I'm very laid back and mild-mannered, but any small inconsiderate thing infuriates me that week. I usually keep it to myself, but I can feel my blood pressure going through the roof!

Have you ever asked your doctor about PMDD? My best friend has it. She had to go on meds for it. She was seriously, seriously a witch before and during AF. She doesn't have PCOS or anything, I think she just happens to have PMDD.
I don't know if PMS/PMDD are more closely related to PCOS or not. Personally, when I am on BCPs my PMS is not nearly as bad. Were you always like this, or it something new.
Either way, you are definitely not alone.
