Default normal test results..?

about a 1 1/2-2 years ago (when i had health insurance) i had gone to my family doctor because of irregular periods and excessive facial hair growth. i have never been to the OB/GYN (i know i should but i had a bad experience when i was very young with a doctor so i've always had bad aniexety about OB/GYN's) but my family doctor took blood work for a horomone imbalance and everything came back normal! she didn't seem very concerned about my very irregular periods (the longest i've gone without it was 11 months) or the hair growth. i was just wondering if anyone else has had normal test results but still had PCOS. i don't even know for sure if i have it but i have most of the symtoms it talks about. thanks!!

I had normal test results too. But my gyn told me they don't go by blood tests only. They also go by your symptoms. My doc started me on Met before he even ran the tests and it helped instantly.
There are a lot of other ladies on here that have had normal results but still have pcos. I think if I were you I would get an appt. with a gyn. Good luck!
