Default North Carolina Endo

If you live in North Carolina, the doctor to see is Dr. Ann Brown at Duke Endocrinology in Durham. She is also conducting research related to PCOS and is very sensitive to what other doctors consider "cosmetic" issues.

Her Nurse Practitioner Kathy Perreira is also excellent.

Thanks for this post. I live in Greensboro area and I'm driving myself CRAZY trying to find a dr that specializes in PCOS. My symptoms had been under control for a while, but all of a sudden, the spotting and cystic acne has returned . In Jan 2005 I plan to go see a endo that is in-network for insurance purposes and who can help get things back on track again. My previous dr is no longer in my insurance group...

Also, what will she, or even her N.P., do as far as testing with the initial consult? I'm desparate for some type of relief. I've just started the SBD, so I'm hoping this will help as well as me going to see an endo.

Thanks!
