Default Nose Bleeds

I've been getting some really bad nose bleeds. Do you think my supplements might have something to do with it? I'm taking 800 Vitex, 2000 Cinammon, 2000 Flaxseed Oil. Has anyone else had this problem.

I get them when I move, when I've visiting a dry climate, and when I was pregnant. A humidifier in my bedroom has always helped. I don't know if meds could cause them, but I look at other factors, too.

I also get them when it's dry. I went to a Dr. once and he said to take a q-tip and put a little Neosporin on it and put it in your nostrils to keep them moist.

You might also try taking zinc, vitamin A and E to strengthen your nerve endings.

I used to get them all winter when the humidity was low, but since I've put a humidifier in my bedroom, I rarely get them.

Nose bleeds can be caused by hormonal imbalances, high blood pressure and stress as well as what everyone here has mentioned.
I get them too from time to time.

Do you have high blood pressure by chance? It's another cause of nose bleeds.

This is interesting. I have had nosebleeds for years, since puberty, and I have never really known why... They come and go in terms of severity and frequency. Sometimes I can have them what seems like every day for a month, and they last about 10 minutes. Then sometimes, there is just a little bit of blood on the tissue when I blow my nose.

Lately (like in the last 3-4 months) I have noticed that I am more likely to get nosebleeds at the end of my cycle, and they are fairly minor. However, I have been O'ing on Clomid for the last three months, so my cycles have become somewhat regular. Before that, I only had a provera-induced period every few months, and I still had regular nosebleeds. Before that, I was on BCP's for years (didn't even know I had PCOS), and still had regular nosebleeds.

My blood pressure is normal and I live in a pretty damp climate. I don't think they are stress-related. I always thought that maybe I just had thin skin in my nose ... Almond, what else do you know about nosebleeds and hormonal imbalances? Or anyone?

Thanks everyone for all the responses. I don't have high blood pressure. So maybe it's just hormones. I used to get them alot as a child. Since I posted this thread I haven't had another nose bleed though. =)
