Default Not diagnosed

I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS but several times people have told me I could definitely have it. My endocrinologist put me on Spironolcatone (helping with the hair and acne) and Metformin which hasn't done anything. I can't seem to do low carb...if I try I end up binging on something really awful.

I'm seeing my endocrinologist again on Thursday morning and hope to get some more help. I keep thinking I'm going to try low carb again but I just fail time and time again. As my boyfriend says...I'm addicted to carbs which I am. Put cereal or bagels in front of me and I salivate.

I am now more than 50 lbs overweight at 27 and have now noticed these red/purple looking stretch marks on the side of my stomach. I hope to get married in the next couple years and I will not feel this way about myself when the time comes, I want to be healthy. I'm 27 and I feel like I'm 47. I feel like I"m drowning.

Tomorrow I'm going to look around here for any other help I can find.

Make sure you ask your endocrinologist straight out. I was at a womens doctor and told her my symptoms and that an endocrinologist put me on Met and she said that he wouldn't have done that unless he thought I had PCOS. The next time I saw him I asked and he said yes, like he was surprised I asked. I think he just forgot to tell me. Anyway, it can't hurt to ask. At least make him narrow down what he thinks might be the problem. It also helps to make yourself as informed as possible, so you're in the right place.
