not feeling alone

hi i am from belleville on canada
i have pcos for the last 6 years i am felling alone becuase i just can not seem to find any one down this area that have pcos. when i found out 6 years ago that i have pcos, i was not giving any help where i could go for help or any one to talk to the doctor just said take these. he did not tell me what i had i found out a year later that he have misdiagnosed me i was told by another doctor that i had pcos and that where it was left i look and found a doctor a few years that could help me understand what is pcos
it is bad that i have to go 2 hours away to see a doctor about pcos but not having any one to talk to about this is hard i just found this website a few mont ago other than that i have been on my oun
i just want to know if any one near my area or any one that have pcos, i would like to have people ( make friends) that i could talk to when i need a friend to talk about this. i have no one down here that have an idea what i am going through could any one help me so i do not feel so alone

I don't really live down your way (I'm in Ottawa) but there are quite a few Canadian Cysters from the Toronto area. They even have a GTA meet up once a month. Maybe you could join them? I'm assuming that you are seeing a PCOS dr in Toronto.

I am very vocal about PCOS and not at all ashamed to tell people I have it! In so doing, I have found it is a lot more common than I would have thought. The women I have found have it, however, tend not to be willing to talk about it and are not proactive about it. One woman I know does nothing about it, it is just a label she has been handed. The other was giving met years ago but wasn't told why and gave it up because of the side effects.

So, I hang out here with like minded people about PCOS! Even my DH has a hard time understanding and believing that this is real. He says stupid things sometimes about losing weight. (Not mean things...just stupid things

) like "You've lost weight Honey! You're finally doing the right things!" Um, no, I just finally got the rights meds!!!

it make me feel better that there are people that are near me that i can talk to

p.s i have to go to Toronto ont to see the doctor and will be going up there again in the next few weeks to get what called a hysterosalpingogram done
