Ok, so last wednesday I had a bunionectomy.

I was sedated, but not under general anasthesia, I was a sleep, but was still sort of aware of what was going on.

On jan 9 we bd'ed but I didn't really think much of it, we haven;t gotten pg yet, why would this be different, this was just for fun

Anyway, the 19th the nurse asked me 3 times if I could be pg, I told her no, we have been struggling with ttc and are on hiatus. now that AF is due in 2 days and I am not spotting has me worried.

Everytime I tell a doc, yes, I could be pg, ofcourse I am not, so now I am thinking I tell the doc there is no way I could be pg... well, that is how fate would work for me.

I am worried what this type of anasthesia could do to a fetus at 10dpo, possibly less...

I am such a dork, I should have told her there was a slight possibility...

I'm sorry that you didn't get a responce on ttc! I have no idea what the answer to that would be but I am very interested in finding out! best of luck for the bfp!

Two of our family members had to undergo surgery while PG. One was very very early in her pregnancy and she underwent surgery (with anesthesia) and cancer treatments (I think this was around a week or so before she found out she was PG, maybe) and the baby was fine! One cousin had a burst apendix and surgery while later in her pregnancy and the baby was fine! HTH

BTW: A pastor that spoke during revival last year said his wife was 8 or so months PG when she went into a coma and had to have experimental drugs to recover. He was bragging about watching his little girl play sports She was born a very early premie, and had some difficulties from that, but apparently the drugs didn't cause any probs for the little baby.
