Not in the "mood" ever!!! (TMI)

I don't know what is going on with me!!! I am never in the "mood"!! My DH & I have always had a very healthy sexual life and in the past three months I never want to hax sex!!! Also when we do have sex I am very "dry" even after foreplay.

I hate feeling this way. I know part of it is because I don't feel sexy any more. I have gained 60lbs in the past 3 years and all my confiedence has been shot to hell. I have always been a big girl, but now at 260 I don't even want to get dressed anymore. Also I noticed a change in my sexual appitite ever since upping my met dose. Has that ever happened to anyone else?

Well I have started a new fitness plan with low carb eating & exercise. I hope that will get me in the moord. I guess I just had to vent.

Have you tried using a stimulating cream??? I normally have a good sex life with DBF, but we used this cream called "Finally" that enhances the female experience. You can get it at the drugstore, and it really enhances sex I promise! It does kind of tingle/feel warm while you wait for it to take effect, which is about 15 minutes. DBF bought a trial size at Wal-Mart for about $5, I think you can also buy online if that is too embarrassing.
Also, I don't know how you feel about it, but my boyfriend works at an "adult" store, so we have experimented with gadgets in his store. As far as lubricant, you might try something like Wet Platinum, which is silicone based.

Thanks for the advice. We use a lube and I have tried stimulating creams. My sister has a friend who does adult parties and we have purchased products in the past. I also read & right erotica so the imagination and urge has always been there, but lately I have been so uninterested.

My mind and body are just not feeling it lately. I'm hoping my new fitness plan with start to stimulate me. I feel so bad for my DH. I think he is starting to get a complex.

I could totally relate while reading your post. I have always had a very strong libido, but lately I have not been in the mood AT ALL. We have been ttc for about two years and when people look at my chart they always go "OMG, do you really do it that often???" And we DID! LOL But the past couple of months I have been so disinterested. We recently put off ttc so that I could lose weight and I was beginning to wonder if I was subconsciously squelching my libido because I am upset about putting ttc on hold! But when I think back I did up my met dose maybe a couple of weeks before I started to lose interest.

Reading books, using toys and lotions, none of that works. I just cannot bring myself to want it. I am really hoping this is temporary and am actually going to talk to my doctor about it when I see him next. DH is even more perplexed about it than I am and I know he is starting to feel bad! Let me know if you find a solution!!!!

Sorry I didn't have anything positive to add.

Fluterby: thanks for the response. I am also going to mention it to my doctor. I feel like i'm on a merry go round...not feeling sexy...not wanting to have sex...feeling less like a woman because of not wanting sex...its like a crazy cycle I can't get past!!

oh well..I'll let you know if I find a cure to what ails me..LOL..

It gets so crazy sometimes, doesn't it? For me, I thought well, I am over weight, have facial hair, am losing the hair on my head, but at least I have a great sex drive, but now I don't even have that and I SO TOTALLY feel like less of a woman now. It was like that was the last thing keeping my femininity tied to me and now even that's gone!

Well, good luck and keep us posted about whether or not your doctor has anything interesting to say about it. In the meantime, take care and if you find a miracle cure, send some my way.

blue when did you start met??? after about 4 months on met..my libido went down bc my testosterone was finallly going down into normal range......... and still to this day my estrogen is too low and beleive it or not having too little estrogen can effect your sex drive...you might wanna check that out with your doctor...

and just having pcos can make you feel soo unpretty so i can sympathize with that..but again when did you start met? maybe your hormones are changing and your body is trying to readjust? xoxo jenn

Wow, it is nice to finally find that I am crazy! I feel the same way a lot of the time (like 99% of the time). I even posted a similar post to this one a while back and got replies from only the ladies on these message boards who LOVE sex. They sure made me feel like a weirdo, but you guys have shown me I am not a weirdo...

I hope none of you are weird cuz that would make me awfully strange! Aiyme, the thing that does dh and I in is the ttc. It puts so much pressure on everything and its no longer done for the fun of it, but because we *have* to. I think the worst part is that sex is no longer an intimacy. Its supposed to be between two people but lately everyone and their dog seems to know when we BD since we are ttc. I cant offer a solution (wish I had figured that one out) but wanted to let you know that there are many of us out there.

Pruniepie:I have been on met for a year now. But as my dose get higher the less sex drive I have. I am going to email my Dr and see if that might be a side effect of the met. I even tell my husband that ever since i started me I don't feel sexy. Before I started met, my sex drive was great... my husabnd used to joke once I hit my "prime" he may not be able to keep up.

ChanteL: at first I thought it was all the TTC, but because we know that their is partically no chance of us making a baby that way (a. I can't seem to ovulate on my own & b. his sperm is just not getting any where). Maybe not being able to have a baby the "natural" way is bumming me out. I never chart or try to have BMS, because I know it is out of my hands.

I can totally relate. Sometimes my sex drive is on full speed, and then there seems time where it is completly empty. I think that the workout program will definaltey help. I think it will because you are just getting active and it will help you feel better about yourself which will in turn make you feel sexy.

Well I sure can relate to all of you women. I can get arroused easily I get so wet that we have to clean before actual sex (sorry TMI) BUT my point is this...I was on 2000mg of Glucophage for 2 years straight and I tell you I have a younger BF (10 years) and he wants it EVERYDAY! I did but I tell ya there for a while I HATED IT, down right hated for nightfall to come because I felt like I had to do the "deed" Gosh ladies I can't express enough how much I hated to have sex...

NOW I have been off the Glucophage for 2 weeks and my libido is coming back don't know if has to do with the Glucophage or the lack of drinking Soda I have COMPLETELY cut that out! I feel SO much better but can't decided which it could be but I am sure it's the glucophage becasue I had NO ENERGY whats so ever!! It was bringing me down so bad that it made me stop taking it just so happen I stopped the soda at the same time...BUT yea I think it's the glucophage that is taking our libido away from us... sorry for my lil rant there

I just had a *duh* moment when I realised that I am taking Vitex and that sometimes causes loss of libido, although I don't really think that is it in my case because I only started taking Vitex about six weeks ago and I have been having this disinterest in sex for a couple of months now. So, I really hope it is not the Met, as I would HATE to have to stop taking it. I hope the doctor has some answers (and a solution).

blue ..it really sounds to me that the higher you go on met..the more its bringing your testosterone down ( which is a good thing if it was too high to begin with bc it causes hair loss etcetc and effects your other hormones).but a pain if you dont want to have sex..i might ask the dr to test or retest your testosterone levels and see whats going on..xo jenn
