Hi, my first post here

I was diagnosed back in the early 90s while married to my first husband and TTC. Back then, I did not ovulate. Even mega doses of clomid and injectible drugs gave me very unreliable results. I did manage to get pregnant in those years, but each pregnancy ended in miscarriage. I did have ovarian drilling done in the last year we were together though. We attempted 2 cycles immediately following which were not successful.
We split up, I went on the Zone diet, felt better, looked better, got remarried, and before we knew it, I was pregnant (shock!) We considered her a miracle and expected to have to really try for number 2. But just as we were preparing to "try", I found myself pg again. And again.. and again (our fourth child was conceived while on BCP, ortho novum for those might want to know)
Strange I know.. I continue to have PCOS symptoms, but anovulatory cycles are a thing of the past. Seems the older I got, the more fertile I became. This has happened with my little sister, who also has PCOS (the thin girl variety) She had been completely anovulatory for years, then suddenly very fertile.
Anyway, my hair is thinning at remarkable speed, little black hairs on my chin and upper lip have multiplies from a few to "a need to do more than tweeze", skin tags everywhere, yada yada.
My weight, although having always been "chunky" has never been in the obese category. I did get as heavy as 225 after having my fourth child though. For some reason last summer, I just started dropping weight, going down several sizes and I'm now only 30lbs from what I would consider my "goal weight". BUT..I can't seem to lose any more. That with the other symptoms, prompted me to say something to my new GP. She did some bloodwork, but stupid me did not ask her which ones she was drawing for. Basically she did the regular female panel. NO androgens ore anything like that. She did tell me that my LH FSH and prolactin are all normal though. And she gave me an rx for Metformin XL (500mg once a day..only been on it for one week)
I called her last week about getting more labs done and go in this Friday...what should I ask her to draw? I really don't want to go to an endo for this and prefer being treated by a GP, so perhaps I need to bring some reference material with me.
Thanks in advance,
