Default Not Pcos, Not Hypothyroid...

i went to my endocrinologist for the first time at the end of january, she ordered blood tests and i had them done... went back, and she told me i did not have PCOS, nor did i have hypothyroidism. all my hormone levels are normal (estrogen, progesterone, prolactin..etc etc). All though, my testosterone was a little high, but not really. She said my insulin was "normal above normal" range. I was wondering, has anyone experienced hair breakage? i don't know if it's from my styling tool, or not.. but if anyone has, what have they used to make it better and to stop the breakage and have hair growth! thanks =]

I have been using Tresemme (sp) anti-breakage shampoo and conditioner... it's really cheap and I think it seems to help. My hair has gotten longer since using it... I think it may be longer than it has ever been. Unfortunately it is also THINNER than it has ever been, too, so it looks scraggly and awful and I think daily about having it chopped off...

Anyway give it a try. I get it at Target, it's like $3 a bottle I think and they are BIG bottles.

I would suggest to go to a beauty supply place and ask them about a leave in conditioner for your hair.

Sincerely,

Elaine

Do you use a hair dryer a lot or curling iron/flat iron? sometimes that causes breakage.....
