Thumbs down Not PCOS related .. but flu???

This isn't PCOS related but maybe someone can help me out.
Since Thursday I've had the flu, or something similiar. As of last Thursday, I ad a cold, that went away the day before this started. The cold was just a little cough, sinus congestion, thats it. Nothing in my chest.
Now, since Thursday I've had a fever on an off (Friday up to 102, Saturday up to 103.1, Sunday up to 100, and now today it just went to 99.. which isn't horrible but still is high for me), very achy joints, very sore and swollen glands on my throat (coudln't turn my head), a cough, sore throat, congestion in my head/throat, and now for the last 2 days, this insane pressure headache that gets worse when I stand up or bend down.
Its not a migrane, either - I've had those
Is this the flu, but it's really getting me? All I've been able to do since Thursday is sleep (and if I hadn't had school and work Thursday, I would have been in bed).
Any ideas? Spoke to my GP on Saturday, she said just bring down the fever with tylenol/ibuprofen. Not very helpful
If this is just the flu, its the worth flu I've had..
And I missed work yesterday and today, school today, and now have school and work (that I absouletly can NOT miss) for the rest of the week.
Uggg. Thanks for listening to me vent, too

Sorry you're not feeling well. It does sound like the flu, but if the sore throat has been around for more than a day or two you might want to get it checked out. I've had lots of trouble in the past w/ strep throat. If it's a viral sore throat and not strep, one thing my dr. told me that helps a lot is gargling w/ liquid children's ibuprofen. Don't swallow it, just gargle w/ it and it really seems to make a coating on your throat that helps.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hugs
Jenny

This sounds exactly like the flu that has been going around my office. Starts with a cold then the cold settles down and the flu symptoms come on like gangbusters!

I hope you feel better soon!
