Not Sure I'm just now going in to get a consult/diagnosis. I have a really bad family history of PCOS, back to the days when it was steinlevinthol and before.
My only issue is some of my symptoms don't match...was wondering what everyone else thought.
-weight gain/inability to lose weight
-facial hair
-overly frequent, heavy menstration with cramping more in the area of my ovaries than the stomache where they were back in the day
-chronic fatigue
-unstable emotions/irritability
-lower back pain
-pain with movement, associated with bending and lifting or reaching in the abdominal area
Does anyone else have these symptoms? Am I being led to the wrong diagnosis? I have only a few cysts...

All of the symptoms don't have to 'match', and cysts really aren't part of the diagnosis.
Best to make a list of your symptoms for your doctor, and bring along your menstrual history for the past several months, and take it from there.

I agree with above poster. Many women with PCOS don't even have any cysts at all, so they don't and won't determine it by that alone.
