Red face Not sure if im meant to start a new thread! - NEWBIE!!

I have just joined the site and it is amazing and overwhelming, although i wasnt sure whether to start a new thread to introduce myself or leach of someone elses so here i am!
I am 26 years old and have a daughter who i concieved at 15, she is nearly 11 now and she was concieved after having sex for the first time!! lucky me lol xx she is an angel x
I have been trying to concieve for the past 9 years, and have been diagnosed with PCOS for about 5 of those. I have been on metformin (500mg x 3 a day) for the past 3 years and have had various trys at clomid (50mg and 100mg) all of which have failed to do anything.
I am not entitled to IVF on the NHS as i have a daughter and my partner has a son from a previous relationship so our only other option for now was ovarian drilling which i went and had done thursday last week!! My tummy still hurts, specially around the stitches in my belly button and on my knicker line!! I keep forgetting they are there and only realise when i try bending! im such a dope sometimes lol x
I was just wondering, some of the simple things that the doctors didnt mention, like when should we start trying for a baby again? do i need to go back on clomid? how often should we be having sex when we are trying, all things i seem embarrassed to ask my doctor but happy to ask strangers!! told you i am a dope!!
any advice from ANYONE would be great x x x

so hello, thats me and i hope to make some new friends who understand how i feel and that there are times i dont feel like being chipper x
(i have one friend who recently got pregnant and found it amusing to come in and wave her pregnancy test in my face while screaming in excitment!! i am happy for her but please.......a little thoughfulness!! )

Welcome to SC Kentbird. I haven't got any personal experience with ovarian drilling, I'm just researching it here myself, but this link : http://www.soulcysters.net/search.ph...9&pp=15&page=3 is all the different threads that mention drilling - there are so many cysters who have had it done and so much information there too. I have read that most cysters get their first period 2-2.5 weeks after the operation. I would imagine it would be a good idea to wait until after then to start the baby dance - just for your own comfort - I don't imagine that becoming pregnant whilst you are trying to heal from the operation would be marvelous, especially if you get morning sickness. But all this is just my humble opinion.

All the best...
