I recently gave birth to a baby boy, stillborn. I didn't know I was even pregnant until 3 weeks prior to finding out the baby didn't have a heartbeat. The death certificate listed him as 9 months gestational age. Are there others here who have struggled with infertility, carried to term, and then had a baby stillborn?

I'm so sorry for your loss...

unfortuately i relate all too well...my twin girls were officially considered still born...if they'd been born a week earlier they would have been considered miscarried.

Anything over 20 (maybe 21?) weeks is considered stillbirth...

So yes they were 'stillborn'...but because they were both born with their little hearts beating even that was in question...between stillbirth and live birth...but because they were considered to have no other sign of life (they were completely healthy 12 hours prior to birth but my cervix gave out and my womb got infected)..they were deemed stillborn just to make is simple i guess

So my heart goes out to you...its a long road ahead for you but you did come to the right place...reaching out for the support i got here was the single most helpful thing i could have done for myself...we'll be here for you too.
