Default Not sure what my blood sugar level means...

My doctor hasn't done any testing for IR just said that I am since I responded to met. Anyways, when in hospital, they saw I was on met and automatically tested my blood sugar level. After a 12 hour fast, the level was 7.2. Is that high? I'm not sure what it means...should I ask for a fasting glucose test? I know this hasn't got much to do with ttc, but I figure a lot of you ladies will have had experience in this area. Thanks

No that's not high. According to my blood work sheet ranges,
non-diabetics 0.040 - 0.060
"optimal control" <0.070
Sub-Optimal control 0.070 - 0.084
Inadequate control > 0.084

I guess you could say you are in the pre-diabetes stage, which means if you don't change something you will be diabetic at some point in your life...
