Hi, i started taking my metformin yesterday and i seem to be doing ok, however ive got a party to go to on the 25th of april 08 and was wondering what i do about drinking as i was told its not allowed when on the metformin?? Idrink southern comfort with lemonade.
Oh yeah can i drink tea still ?? If not what can i drink except water which is sooo boring lol, i currently eat ready brek for breakfast with a cup of tea after..

I drink alcohol. You just can't drink it regularly because of the effects it can have on your liver. If you don't have tummy problems, it probably won't be so bad. I drank all the time before I was TTC. I never had any problems. If you have a bad liver though, maybe you shouldn't drink while taking Met.

I never heard that you can't drink tea or anything else. I was told eat and drink what I can, whatever doesn't make me sick. Basically that means anything except chicken wings

I would have 1-2 glasses of wine a few times per week while taking met(before I was pregnant obviously!). I was fine but I did notice that I felt the alcohol much quicker so I was just be cautious and monitor how you feel.
