NOT ttc but dr. said hormones are all out of wack, does it matter??
I had a normal physical recently. I asked my doctor to test my FSH/LH hormones to see how they are
I have a 3 and 2 year old. i dont get my period without BCP. Provera doesn't work for me. To get pregnant with DS(3yo) i need clomid, trigger shot and IUI. then immediately got pregnant with my 2yo(found out when i went at 10 weeks for my post pregnancy checkup.
since my DD i've been on BCP and never got anything tested
My primary care physician just faxed my bloodwork to my OBGYN. he said my hormones are off
but does that mean anything to me? i mean i'm not TTC. i'm on BCP so get my period monthly
does it matter that my hormones are off?
i SHOULD eat a low carb diet(which i don't but know i should as I feel better and lose weight on it, like others with PCOS)
The bcp could also be throwing off your numbers. I'm currently working on getting off depo, because on it, my numbers are so far off that some read like I'm postmenopausal, and others read like I'm a guy. Since the bcp has hormones, you have to take them into account when reading your numbers, and the outside hormones they give you will throw off some of your other natural numbers.
I have to be on BCP. Since I dont get my period even with Provera, their is no other way to get them to come on without BCP
I have other symptoms like depression, anger, acne but honestly I think that has to do with my diet(which i am sure is affecting my hormone levels) as i'm NOT staying away from sugar and carbs which causes me to be all over the place
I KNOW i need to get my diet under control which would probably solve all my other issues.
Glad it helped, and I understand needing bcp, I just figured I'd let you know how it threw off my numbers. Your OB maybe able to tell you more about whether or not those numbers are OK taking the bcp into consideration. I also get it about the diet and exercise front. Some of the dietary changes are going fine (I miss Coke, but I'm getting used to life without it), but others aren't going so well for me (lower carb-some days that's a joke). And I think I need to find someone who will give me a verbal butt kick and get me into the gym more regularly, right now I'm not doing well about it. I am trying to make sure to view it as a staircase sort of thing- get good at eating more veggies, then stop buying anything that's white flour, then start adding stevia to my sugar and use less sugar.... As I get one step down, I add another, and now I need to add the exercise step back into my life.
About the depression symptoms, many autoimmune conditions lead to a greater incidence of depression...PCOS, migraines, hypothyroidism, Celiac's...are all autoimmune conditions that can help trigger depression. Please ask for help with these, if possible while it is in the earlier stages, it's much easier to help mild depression than a full blown case.
