Obviously, if there's something going wrong with the board, I need to know about it, so that it can be addressed.

Unfortunately, some people use the opportunity to vent what seems to be extreme annoyance and 'frustration' over things that are relatively minor.

As a result, the true nature of the 'issue' isn't communicated, and even worse, it's becoming a drag on the morale of the board to deal with people who constantly complain and get melodramatic about VERY minor things.

Again, if there's a problem - by all means report it. But please take a deep breath and try to calmly describe the problem without editorializing.

If this is hard for you, consider reading these books:

The No Complaining Rule: Positive Ways to Deal with Negativity at Work

Every complaint represents an opportunity to turn something negative into a positive! In Jon Gordon's book The No Complaining Rule, he provides the winning edge. In a world in which so many, it seems, focus on the glass as half empty, Jon Gordon sets out a clear blueprint in The No Complaining Rule to help each of us better ourselves. His approach will cut negativity and can impact our workplaces and our families, and help us carve out more productive, lower-stress environments.

Complaining is one of the biggest problems in business today. It undermines the effectiveness of a team and organization, leading to contempt and an inability to adapt and change.

A Complaint Free World: How to Stop Complaining and Start Enjoying the Life You Always Wanted

Will Bowen has a very simple message: quit complaining!

If you do, you'll be happier and healthier. Hence his Complaint-Free World challenge; the goal is to stop for 21 consecutive days. Why 21? That's how long it takes to break a habit, according to Bowen, who has appeared on Oprah and The Today Show discussing his challenge. And while there's no scientific proof his program works, he includes testimonials from people who've stopped their chronic carping and now lead more positive lives. As for issues that might make you complain about not complaining-e.g., how do you enact social change without first finding fault with the present situation?-Bowen points to Martin Luther King Jr. and his I-have-a-dream speech. He "did not stand on the steps of the Lincoln memorial and say, "Isn't it terrible how we're being treated...." Not to be critical ("Criticism is complaining with a sharp edge") but how could Bowen forget King's great rousing line that day: "America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked 'insufficient funds.' "

Good on you Kat! I've been really surprised to read several messages from cysters wanting out of SC who say "soulcysters has done absolutely nothing for me" - this one after 10 measly posts or who say the board is full of people they don't care for! I've found SC to be the most amazing source of information on practically every subject related to PCOS and think there are some LOVELY people here who and many who are willing to spend considerable amounts of time and effort to help others.

Personally I wouldn't care if I couldn't stand a single person here - the info is so great and anyway - you are choosing to log in and communicate with people who don't know who you are, where you live and couldn't possibly hurt you!

Anyway, you've done a fantastic job creating and maintaining this site and I truly THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart. I'm sure there are challenges.
