I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE FOUND THIS PLACE!!! I am just so thankful that there are so many other girls like me out there. I can't wait to make some friends and share tough and good times!! I'm 26 and just dx with PCOS although I suspect I had it for a few years now. I'm married to my wonderful DH for almost 3 years and he's a guard in the air force reserves. I have 2 furbabies Abram and Lily. We would really like a baby in our lives to love and now we got this obsticle to face. I have lost 20lbs so far though and I'm on Met, I made an appt with a endo...and am looking for another dr to help me though this since my gyn isn't very keen on overweight gals. She didn't want me on Clomid because she said she didn't want me to have twins....(yeah i don't understand it) so a big hello to everyone!!!!!!!!
hey jewel...im a newbie too! im 24 and was diagnosed 3 years ago. My gyno did not tell me anything about it or offer any meds.. so i just thought it was something i had to live with. Not until recently did i start to develop symptoms like weight gain, facial/body hair, hot flahes.. all the good stuff lol im trying to find a good doc to go to now.We have 4 furbabies ( Kitty,Tigger,Malcolm,& Butters)! My fiance and I eventually want children too. Good Luck with your journey and I hope you and you hubby are blessed with children someday!
New here as well...I am so excited to have found this board, what a wonderful feeling to know there are others who have the same problems.
I haven't actually been diagnosed for sure. I have all of the symptons and last Dr appt, she just said in passing, perhaps you have PCOS. We discussed a weight loss program and she put me on bc. She did mention MET, but I am trying to lose some weight on my own first. We'll see how it goes, DH and I are wanting to TTC in the coming months.
welcome to sc id suggest seeing a different dr if you arent happy with the one you have now, thats what i had to do to get some pcos help. there is a link to the newbie roadmap in my siggie for you
