hi im new to this site im not sure if i have pcos , i dont have the weight gain problem but i dont ovulate , at least thats what my last test stated several years ago, i have quite a short menstrual cycle generally its from 26 days although has been known rarely to go to 31 days, i am in a steady relationship and havent been on the pill for approximately 13 years , my partner is in the army and we are away in 2 wks , i am due on a period , and im wondering should i take this have heard can have various side effects , i had an adverse reaction to microgynon after sev yrs of using it , so stopped had an ectopic pregnancy and not used anything since , It is a special occasion I have a ball to go to and I just dont know what to do im in two minds , can anyone give me any advice on this pill the side effects , I have heard u have to take 3 times a day and this can make you dizzy and sleepy , i dont want that either help !!!

Then I take it too. I only have to take one pill for 10 days and then AF comes a knocking. From what I have researched it is a synthetic hormone like BCP's. I take it to bring on AF. Since you have a cycle, then it most likely will delay the onset of your pd. The only side affects I have with it is PMS type side affects. i.e. sore breasts, irritiblitiy, etc. Usually near the end of the 10 days that I am taking it. Good luck and have fun at the Ball!
