Default noticed this with taking NAC....

the chin shadow is gone.....the hair is less, but not less enough. I upped the dosage...I've been taking 2, 2x a day.

HI - I've had success with NAC too. I take 3 tablets(600 mg) twice a day. I'm very pleased with how I've responded to this. I'm also doing acupuncture and taking chinese herbs. 2006 is my year to get healthy!

I've been on 1800 mg of NAC for a couple months now and have noticed the same. Less facial hair and what is there has turned white! Perhaps a result of combining with waxing and plucking. Sex drive is lower but that is ok with me right now.

Also, I ran out for two days and noticed feeling more tired and dizzy from hypoglycemic episodes. This stuff really has helped me!

I'm so glad it helped you! Chin hair can be so frustrating.

This stuff has been like a miracle in a bottle for me and others I've convinced to give it a try. Like you, my chin hair is growing in much slower and finer. I'm even developing a little bald spot in the middle of my goatee! I've noticed that my leg hair is sparser as well, and is much lighter in color until you get halfway down my calves. It was always this way as a teen, so it makes me hopeful that things are "reversing" if you will.

It's also worked like a charm for my bloating problems due to a medication I take (Neurontin). It helped my carb cravings immensely. My tummy is finally shrinking, but I'm taking so many supplements I can't be 100% sure it's the NAC, but I do know that didn't start happening until I started taking it. My asthma and allergies are so much better now! I now longer rattle and wheeze in my lungs. Yay! I take a 600mg dose in the morning and another at night. If things are particularly bad (like just before AF) I'll also take another dose mid-day. And speaking of AF, I've ovulated each month that I've taken NAC when I haven't ovulated in years. This isn't really good for me, but it would be great for someone TTC!

My father, who has emphasema, was intrigued when I mentioned how well it worked for my lungs. He began taking it a few weeks ago and loves it. Sorry to be a bit gross, but he said it allows him to finally cough up all of the "gunk" stuck in his lungs and he can breathe so much better now. He said it worked better than his Atrovent prescription inhaler. His problem with his feet swelling has disappeared as well. He only takes 600mg a day, as he forgets his evening dose.

I sincerely, with all my heart thank "Mary" for writing that wonderful FAQ that introduced me to so many great things. Especially the NAC! It's made such a difference.
