Hello. Can anyone give me more information about novarel? When are you taking it and in what dose? How ofter? How is it working for you? Any success stories or disappointments to share? I have not found a whole lot of info on it, so I am asking you to help me out girls!!

Novarel is an HCG trigger shot ... I used Clomid CD3-7, then the Novarel on CD15 (5000iu ... half the normal dosage. I had several mature follies, so he didn't want to use the full 10,000iu).
On CD15 (trigger day), I had a 21mm, a 20mm, and 4 in the 15mm range. I'm assuming both the 20 and 21 triggered, because I'm currently PG with TWINS! :-D
I consider myself a success - I was a 1-shot deal! This was my first ever medicated cycle.

thanks for your response! What tests did you have to have done when using the shot? Ultrasounds? What possible side effects are there if you know? thanks
Hoping to bump this so I can get some more info. I'm taking clomid cd5-9 and then I go back to the dr on day 13. They said if the follicles have matured, then I'll have to give myself a shot of Novarel in my stomach! Owie ow ow. The thought just terrifies me. In addition, I'm overweight and carry alot of it in my belly. How is this going to work? Will it still be effective?

Did you take the Novarel shot in the belly or buttocks?? I took it in the buttocks and I am hoping that it will still work!! (The video online says to take it in the buttock)
