I'm praying that ppl don't use this for gender SELECTION. They said it's 99% accurate. All you gotta do is buy the kit for $275 prick your finger, put a dot of blood on a test card and mail it in. Get on the companys website after about 48 hrs and get your results. What do you think?
oh good lord, like more people need a reson to have abortions. my aunt had 6 before she had my cuz, because "she was not ready" i cant stand people like that.

That physically makes my heart ache. DH and I have a DD, we want a DS and if we don't have one on our next try then we will try one more time. I would NEVER even consider having an abortion because I would have another DD instead of a DS.
I know there are people out there who would use this in such a way and it just makes my heart ache.

As if people don't have enough reason to commite murder (abortion) on a helpless being.
I have to question the reliablity of this 'prick-your-finger-find-out-the-gender- test' as well as the ethics of it.
I mean wouldn't dr's and labs have already figured out this test long before now, if it was really reliable? And the cost of it.....it's a scam......and a sickening one at that.

While I completely disagree with the concept, I really hate it when people call abortion murder. Some people, I being one of them, had an abortion not by choice but by necessity. I come to SC for support, not to be called a murderer. Thank you for making me feel like crap.

Well your the one who took it as me saying it directly to you, i didn't name you or anyone else for that matter. I know someone who had an abortion, mater of fact it is my brothers girlfriend, many years ago.
What i'm calling a murder is someone who has an abortion just to have one done. Someone who finds out they are having a child that isn't the sex they want so they abort it. Those are the murders. though i don't my self agree with abortion thats my right.

ANd I don't believe the remark was directed at ANYONE in particular. It was a comment that a cyster made. She gave her opinion-PERIOD!
You're right, it wasn't directed at me, but you also didn't make any distinction between murder and abortion. You called all abortions murder. And it is just fine for you to have your opinion, as I have mine but I jus think it was harsh and it made me feel like crap, as if I didn't feel bad enough about the abortion in itself.

If gender selection is so important, why not use science to do it upfront? Sperm can be separated/selected to up the chances of a boy vs girl. I know of many people going that route after a string of boys or girls, it's not talked about much, but it's happening. It's tragic to do it after the fact. Soon China will be left with thousands of single unwed young men, because of years of having and only keeping sons in their 1 child policy.
But the world is hurtling quickly towards the portrayal in the Uma Thurman / Ethan Hawke movie "Gattaca" where babies can be ordered to spec. Will our children be part of the last century of "natural" babies? Or as Uma called Ethan's character, "god child".
