Default NPC Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just started taking emerita NCP. Even though I do not ovulate my cycles are regular 27 day ish.
I am suppressing ovulation by taking the cream on day 5-26, so my ovaries will be rested so I can ttc with vital ovaries.
The first cycle of the cream AF showed up on day 18. Now this cycle of cream my AF started on day 11 .
Has anyone had any experience with NCP and ovulation suppression.
Does any one have ideas as to what is going on with my cycle.

I tried to do a shutdown last cycle and the same thing happened to me - I got AF around cd 14. So, this time I decided to wait and see if I would O on my own and I did - so now I'm going to supplement with it for the rest of my lp - hoping for a BFP!!
When I was looking up how to do a shutdown, the directions stated that if AF showed up early to just start counting 5 days from the first day of AF and start the NPC again.

Hope this helps -
Best wishes!

No, I didn't ovulate on my own, regularly anyway before using the NPC. I know I ovulated b/c now I chart my fertility signs using the ovusoft software - it's awesome! No more guess work.

I found that having PCOS - I would get irregular readings on the OPK's so I don't use them.

Have you ever charted before? It is definitely worth a shot- very informative. The book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" is a great read if you haven't already read it!

That is very interesting that you cycle came early too.
Do you know if you ovulated before the ovulation suppression? I think I will go one more cycle on the suppression because it is keeping the pcos rage down.
I sure hope this is your cycle.

oh what method did you use to determine ovulation?

No, I definitely didn't ovulate before the suppression.

I use the FAM method to determine when and if I am ovulating and it has worked wonderfully. For those who are not familiar with the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, I highly recommend picking up a copy at the library.

It is such an informational book and I have become so much more aware of my body and ovulation symptoms. Also it helps me to determine if I am having an anovulatory cycle so that I don't go crazy with poas! I used to go through 4-5 pregnancy tests a cycle b/c my cycles were so long and I was always convinced that I was pregnant, when really I was having anovulatory cycles.

FAM works by monitoring all of your fertility signs. I chart my morning temperature, check my cervical position and cervical mucous daily. It helps me to know whether I am gearing up to ovulate -which is key when you have pcos and long cycles!

At first I was grossed out by the thought of checking my cervix daily, but actually it has been so helpful to know when I am going to ovulate. It makes it so much easier than just trying to bd every other day, which can be exhausting when you are having a 60 day cycle!

I hope everyone will at least check the book out - it has been my saving grace on my ttc journey.

Also, some people don't like the idea of having to temp everyday and I find that the easiest way to go about that is - I set one alarm for 6:00 every morning and roll over stick the thermometer in when it beeps, I take it out, roll over and go back to sleep until 7:00. This way, I know that my temp is consitent everyday and the thermometer is digital so I can recall the last temp by holding down the power button - so I sometimes don't even check it until I come home on my lunch break.

Hope 2 Conceive, That is so neat..... I mean that you did not ovulate and the suppression helped you ovulate. Oh I hope it works that way with me. Yes I have read cover to cover TCOYF. Awsome book. I could read that book again and probably should, it has been years since I read it and I am sure I forgot alot.
Temping, grrrrrrr because I do not ovulate I just stopped temping it was so frusterating trying to find the o that was not there but after I finish the suppression I think I may just pick up that thermometer again, thanks for the reminder.
Wow you cycles are long.... I used to have long ones like that until I started Metformin. Now, they are super regular, just annovulatory.

Where does everyone use the NPC? I dont like the way it makes my hands feel so I don't rub it in on my palms, it made my feet to slick to walk around on my ceramic tile on my feet. The only place I can come up with is on my neck and chest. Any other ideas?

Praying For a Soy Joy!! TTC number 2 . Trying with vitex, soy and cinnamon.
Throw in a little black and blue cohosh, epo, licorice and dong quai all for good measure.

Has anyone seen AF? She is MIA, if you find her please send her my way.

Jolin- glad you are considering temping again. I also take Maca tablets which have worked to even out my temps and regulate my hormones. The last cycle I took Maca Powder, I also ovulated, so it could have something to do with that as well as the progesterone cream.

Ideas for NPC cream:
They say to rub it on areas where the skin is thin, or areas where your skin blushes, so, I alternate between my inner arms, inner wrists, lower tummy, chest (above my breasts), inner thighs, on the top part of my ankles and just below the ankle bone on the inner foot, my neck, my cheeks, back of the knees....
Hope this helps!
