Question npc and pg?

I finally got my npc delivered yesterday. my question is it says NOT to use this product during pregnancy! So if i were to become pg then do I stop it and talk with the dr about some other means. Im assuming that if i need the npc to bring af on then shouldnt it mean that I would need it in the pregnancy also like everyone says?

Also I know I use it for 14 days then waite untill af shows up. I read that u should start it again after you o. So what about if I dont o? IF i use it for the 14 days and af shows up, then when do i start it again?

I know, sorry so many questions. im sure the answeres are on here somewhere I just can not seem to find them.

TIA again,
Jennifer

What it means is that if you are already pregnant, you probably wouldn't need to use it. If you get pregnant, there is a chance of misscarriage if your progesterone levels go too low, so be sure that is monitored. The doctors will give you a shot of (artificial) progesterone if it goes too low, so if you just keep using the NPC, that shouldn't be necessary. They put that on the lable to protect themselves from any liability. As long as your progesterone levels are low, it is good to use NPC. I know someone who has low progesterone levels while she was pregnant and started spotting, so the doctor gave her a shot of progesterone and suggested using NPC to keep it up. Still, talk to your doctor, and provided he is not opposed to natural methods, and your progesterone levels are low when you don't use it, he should have no objections.

My Certified Natural Health Professional recommends using NPC to women who have trouble keeping (not miscarrying) babies, or if progesterone tends to be low both before and during pregnancy.

Ditto what Dollfin said.

I used NPC for my 1st trimester and all was well with my pregnancy.

When I started using it, and wasn't sure if I o'ed or not this is what I would do. I applied it when I got it until AF showed up. Then I stopped using it until cd14, then I would start up again until AF came again. If you are monitoring when you are oing, with opk or temping, I would try to wait until you see that you have o'ed before you start using your NPC. The reason is that progesterone before you O could suppress it and that would defeat the purpose if you are using it to ttc. Right now I started it on cd 16 or 17 because I know I o'ed the night before and I will keep using it until AF shows up or if I get a bfp, until the 1st tri is over.

Good luck to you.
