Jen --- There is a lot of info out there!

Are you TTcing or just trying to Ov and get AF without prescr. meds? The standard dosages are below (this was pulled from a forwarded link from a sticky above in this Alt Remedy Forum)....
"The soy product most used is called
Soy Isoflavones. You can buy them at Wal Mart. The brandname is Spring Valley and can be found in the vitamin section by the pharmacy. They are 40mg per pill (check the bottle and make sure). It works similar to clomid... The dose that is best to start with is 80 mg on CD 3-7 or 5-9. If you dont O from that dose then you should move up until you do. There have been some that have taken it late in their cycle and it has helped with O. I took it and 4 days later Oed. Didnt get PG but it is something to think about if you have a very long cycle you can take it for 5 days.
We get asked alot about NPC so I thought that I would give a little info about how to use it. You use the dose on the bottle and put it on your chest or other places that have thin skin. You would use it for 14 days and then stop. If you dont get AF within 10 days then you would want to take it again for a week."
If you are TTcing, then you would need to confirm ovulation thru BBT monitoring (there's a thread in the TTC forum on this subject). If you are just trying to regulate your cycle, then you could take soy, and then around cycle day 14-20, start using NPC to shed the endometrial lining, but this would not gaurantee that you had really Ov'd... Some times women have to increase the soy dose to get themselve to Ov, and for others, it doesn't really work at all. NPC dosages range from 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoons of NPC that is near 500mg per ounce. Walmart sells a cream that is 480mg/oz in the natural herbs section. It's made by Rexall, and is call Menopause prog. cream, or something like that. My Rexall box is this florally pink/yellow thing. Be sure to rub it into thin-skinned areas and vary where you put it (not sure why you do that, perhaps it will irritate skin otherwise?) HTH. If you have any more questions, let me know, I'll try to help out. Dianna
