Breast, inside your arms between your inner elbow and armpit(the soft spot, not your armpit ) and your inner thighs. Those seem to be the softest areas where the cream is seems to be better absorbed.

Same as sugarplums + abdominal area. Any fatty area is good since it is absorbed into fatty tissue.

Thanks Nyer. I forgot to mention that as my abdominal area is toughened due to diabetes injections lol!

Aww, sorry sugarplums ((hugs)). Upper abdomen might work?? I never tried on the derriere, but there's plenty of fat there (for me at least) & I may just give that a try myself. I do try to zone it towards the uterus. When I use it on my breasts, it reduces my breast cysts, so I've got it in my head that getting it closer to repro organs must mean targeting it to there more. So I do mostly abdomen & thighs, but the butt is something I never thought of before.

Forgot to mention I also use it as an eye cream in the luteal phase. It really firms your face by retaining moisture. Too bad I am all saggy the first half of the month : (

Well, for those of you who aren't spring chickies anymore at least!!

It doesn't work for me unless I use it vaginally. Apparently a number of women don't absorb it through the skin. I agree with the firming of the face though. Even though it didn't work on my hormone levels it did make my skin on my face look wonderful! I guess it has a local effect.

PalePinkAura: Often transdermal progesterone doesn't reflect on serum levels. It takes a relatively long time to see your P4 levels go up, if at all. Saliva testing is the best way to see results of NPC.

I'm not referring to it not working on tests, I'm referring to it not actually working with regulating my cycle!!! I found nothing changed until I started using it vaginally, then my cycle became 28 days (first time in my life ever). After about six months or so I started it on my skin again, just to check, and my cycle immediately went out of whack. I've 'tested' it twice since and each time my cycle went haywire and took about two months of vaginal NPC to rectify itself again.

PalePink: I hope you don't mind me asking a tmi question - but how do you use NPC vaginally? Are you getting rx suppositories, or are you using a thing like they give you with yeast creams to insert?

I never noticed big changes in luteal phase length from NPC, nor temps. I did find out that temps don't go up that much from NPC (.1-.2 degrees only). But my cycles do go crazy without it. I think I may have thrown things off by taking a 3 mos. break (or it could be from having a m/c 6 mos. ago) and I can't seem to get things back to normal again.

Umm that is what I was wanting to know. I would love to go this route 'maybe'.

I know after taking provera becasue the cream didn't do for me one month my face looked like pizza and I htought it would never go away well I started this week again and well my face is starting to look lots better I think due to the cream. I might have to start using it more often. Although it's messy at times I think I will have to continue to use it, also all I am getting are cramps so far I hope it works this month.

Simba there is another thread on hyponiid - go and check it out. It sounds like a really good product.

To apply the cream vaginally I just use a plain 2ml syringe that I picked up from a pharmacy. I use 0.5ml instead of a level 1/4 teaspoon dose. So, yeah, basically like the candida cream applicator. Nyer it might be worth you testing it vaginally, because my temps and my luteal phase both improved to 'normal' when I started using it that way. Maybe you're absorbing some but not enough?? My luteal phase used to be 6 days on a good month and now it's 14 days. My temps used to be 35.5 pretty much all month, and now it's 37 in the luteal phase.

Palepink: Sorry, when you say 2 ml syringe, I'm thinking syringes used for injections - I've got plenty of those left over from IVF. Otherwise, I'm guessing you bought a cream applicator? Thanks for clarifying!!

I tried it today and hopefully I'll see some improvement. I also found this today, which makes me rethink the whole fatty tissue application:
Quote:
Vaginal Application: If you are overweight, apply the cream to the thin skin areas of the body (i.e. ankles, wrists, low back or vaginally) for best absorption. One doctor reported that the body fat on his larger female patients kept the progesterone from being absorbed adequately into their blood. Applying the cream vaginally solved the problem. Many women, thin or overweight, find applying the cream vaginally often works the best.*
http://www.renewalenterprises.com/h0022prlabs.html

I've been using this stuff for years, and this is contrary to everything I read (in reference to applying to less fatty areas if overweight). Also this:

Quote:
Applying progesterone cream to areas with high contents of fatty tissues will exaggerate an absoroption of and retain the the active ingredients of the cream into his blood stream. Thus, an excessive amount may lead to an increase in androgen production (male hormones) that will inadvertently lead to an increase in estrogen production.
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Family-In...rone-Cream.htm

Now that was in reference to a male child, but I've heard something along the lines of NPC backfiring & causing excess androgens, but really didn't pay attention. I'm definately using vaginally for now on.
