NPC,VITEX & DONG QUAI

Hi everyone i wanna ask abt VITEX.NPC & DONG QUAI i want to ask when can i use this NPC b/c i had periods on 12/12/02 and today is cd 50 i did my HPT it came out negative now i was wondering if i can start my NPC today but i dont know abt the dosage and how to apply it and where to apply it and then can I start my VITEX & DONG QUAI combo from cd 6 till ovulation (ofcourse i am gonna monitor myself with OVPKs) and then just Vitex till a/f .I also want to know abt the dosage of VITEX and DONG QUAI.waiting for ur reply

First off I would start taking the Vitex and Dong Quai now. 600mg of each (which is one pill each) and take it everyday. As far as the NPC. You put it on your fatty areas like inner arms, inner thighs, and lower tummy. You rotate spots. Now I do not remember how LONG to use it for. Can't remember if it's 14 days then stopping for 7 or what, so someone else can answer that for you I hope! You use 1/4 Tsp. in the morning and before bed.

Hi,

As far as I am concern, I would advice that you start the NPC, 1/4 tea spoon twice a day for the next 14 days. This is to clean house before you start the Vitex and DQ. Once you stop the NPC, AF should show up.

Once Af has started, you either start right away your Vitex and DQ or wait until AF is finished. I personnaly start Vitex and DQ once AF isthere and after Ovulation, I start the NPC for the next 14 days, I stop the DQ and continue the Vitex for 7 more days then I take a week off until AF is back.

thanks for ur reply but i wanted to ask one more thing if i am ttc then i sholud use NPC for 14 days and wait for AF and after AF on cd 5 or 6 ill start VITEX and DONG QUAI till Ovulation (ill monitor myself with OPK) what if i dont O vulate b/c i usually dont then do i have to cont taking VITEX & DONG QUAI till or start NPC after 14 days and repaet the above order. i am a bit confused

sweetie.. you will get confused with using herbs.. because no one has any exact prescriptions for how to use these herbs. If you do a search on the internet, you will find hundreds of sites, with thousands of bits of information.. many of it is contradictary.. so.. you will probably have to work out your "routine" on your own...

I will tell you what I do though, as I use vitex/dong quai/ and NPC... I use Vitex and dong quai everyday of my cycle... I don't do the stop and start thing... I figure, I need the herbs to build up in my system, so, why only take them 14 days a month.. doesn't make sense to me.

Also, the NPC.. I would say, if you want to start TTC... wait to try and have O on your own.. but, don't wait past day 20 or so.. if you don't O by then.. go ahead and use the NPC...

so u want me to take vitex and dong quai for the whole month even on AF days? and use NPC for 14 days, and after AF wait for 20 days or so if I am Ovulating then good if not start NPC again FOR 14 days.Is that u r trying to say? but do i have to take VITEX & DONG QUAI ON AF days sorry for bothering u gals waiting for ur reply THANKS

actually, suhani, you will have to develop your own routine.. what I gave you is what I've decided to do.. But, some people swear that you should only take dong quai and vitex on certain days... so, you should probably weigh all of your responses.. and then decide on your own what is the best to do...

what i will do is take VITEX ,DONG QUAI from CD 1-14 and monitor myself during this time if i am OVULATING well and good if not start NPC from CD15 or CD20 till CD28 or CD34 but can u tell me for how long i have to take these herbs and do i have to add RED RESPBERRY LEAF also in these . Will these herbs bring OVULATION?
