NPC - When to stop and start Vitex? ? Please help.

I'm new to this herbal/natural stuff. I started taking NPC ten days ago. This morning, I woke up and it looks like AF is here. A miracle for me. So, I was wondering if I needed to finish out the full 2 weeks, or if I should stop the NPC and switch to Vitex/Dong Quai for the next two weeks. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also, how many mg of Vitex should I take? The bottle has 500 mg pills and says to take 1-2 daily?

Yup, stop using the NPC and let your body have a period. You can start the vitex now if you'd like, or start it when your period is done. Are you charting your temps, CM, CP to keep track of if the vitex will work for you? Good luck

Yep, I've been charting and stuff for awhile. I'm not actively ttc now, although if it happens, I will be happy! I just want to see if I can get my body to work on its own with herbs.

Thank you for asking this question because I was going to ask the same thing!

I have been on NPC since last April using it 3 weeks on 1 week off twice a day but that wasn't working for me except for the first month using it. So this month I just changed to 14 days on 14 days off still twice a day. I am on day 9 of being ON and so far no signs of AF (last AF was August!)...I also want to start Vitex/Chaste Tree Berry and was thinking of starting it today with hopes of getting AF next week (when I do get AF I get it the 1st week of the month) should I do this or wait till the end of next week to start Vitex?

Sorry to cut in to your post but I'm also desperate and felt you were asking kind of the same thing as me?

Any advice is appreciated!

I say start ASAP (the vitex)...it is up to you though, some like to take a break from it while AF is here, others take it throughout the cycle! Good luck and keep us posted on your results!
