Ha Ha Loreo! We must be stalking NPC question threads!!! Again, thanks for the plug!!!

DLeigh~ Yes, you can start using NPC anytime if you want to induce a period if you haven't had one in a while. How long has it been? The thread Loreo posted is a thread I wrote describing in detail how *I use NPC and how it works for me*. I'm a very strong believer in using it and have had wonderful results, however I do realize that it's not for everyone, nor does it work for everyone. Here's the details in a nutshell:

To induce a period: Use 1/4 to 1/2 tsp once per day for 14 days. Apply the cream anywhere the skin is thin (chest, inner arms, inner thighs, neck, face) so it can absorb quickly. I usually get AF before the 14 days is up. If you don't, don't worry. If you get to day 14 and don't have AF yet, stop using the cream. The withdrawal of progesterone should signal your body to start within a few days. If you still don't have AF within 10-14 days...start the cream again for another 14 days, and possibly up the dose to 1/4 to 1/2 tsp twice per day. If you have any other questions after you read the other thread, let me know and I'll do my best to help you out!

Your welcome for the plug LOL. I do use NPC myself but I'm not the best at explaining all the ins and outs.
Your thread seems to explain it pretty well.

Another NPC advocate here!

Started NPC back in March and have had tremendous success! Started af 17 days after starting the cream (after 175 days without any sign of her...), and I think she's around the corner now- wow! 2 straight months!!! I almost feel human!

Rebecca527's thread is a wonderful place to get started. It answered all my questions, and I still refer back to it to make sure I'm doing everything correctly.

Good luck, and keep us posted on your status!

Wow! Thanks for all the tips and feedback! I think I will be going to Wal-Mart tomorrow to get some NPC!

I'm also going to read up some more on it tonight ...

AF has never ever been a reg. thing for me ... it would be sooo great to get that on track!

I still have questions though ...

If the NPC works does that mean I did indeed ovulate in order to bring on AF? Will I need to use it again the following month ... or could that be enough to set the trigger? Can I use NPC w/ Vitex?

You all have been great ... I'm soooo glad I found this site!!!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DLeigh,

The NPC will (or should) induce af; this does not necessarily mean that you ovulate. If you are ttc, you may want to consider temping and charting your cycle to monitor, and/ or speak with either your obgyn or re.

You can take the NPC with Vitex. Several ladies here have had tremendous success with Vitex and conceiving.

As for continual use, I am using it every month- don't know if it can regulate without additional applications. From what I've read, the progesterone sort of 'tricks' your mind into believing it is time for af.

HTH!
