NuvaRing Just wanted to share my satisfaction with the Nuvaring. Have tried various other forms of BCP, low dosage, etc.
I'm off it now, TTC, but I would still absolutely recommend it.
The ring is easy to insert, and I only had to think about it twice a month--once when I put it in, and three weeks later when I took it out. That is a HUGE bonus for me.
As I understand it from my RE, it is a very low dosage because the hormones are absorbed through your vaginal lining, rather than having to go through your metabolism--so the dosage can be lower.
We never felt it during sex, so no complaints there!
My side effects for BCP have always been H/A. I definitely had fewer H/A on the ring--and never a migraine, which is a BIG plus. I think I'll always get some kind of H/A, but this reduced them for me.
