Question NuvaRing?

Hey everybody!

My GYN gave me some NuvaRings to try, and I was wondering
if anyone had any comments on it. I did a search, but it seemed
to me that most threads were from April and most people
had just started using it.
So I was wondering how things are going now?

I'm still unsure about it, but I thought I'd give it a try.
My dh will probably freak.

Thanks!
Julie

Default Re: NuvaRing?

Hi Julie,

I wish I could give you some definite answers, but I've only been using the Nuvaring for 9 days now

So far so good, but after only 9 days it's hard to tell.

I should also mention that I'm not using it as BC, I'm only using it to regulate my periods. I had my tubes slashed and burned years ago so I wouildn't have to use hormones anymore. Swell, that worked out well.

Laura,

Thank you for your reply. I'm using it to regulate my periods too. I don't have a period without taking something,

If I have any positive or negitive things happen, I'll let you know.

Good luck!
Julie

Well cyster, I hope you have better luck than I did. I hated it. I used it for about four months until I finally told my doc.....FORGET IT! I could feel it, it would move and my DH could feel it also during intercourse. Now, you can remove it for that if you like. For me, that was too tedious. Anyway, i hope you like it. I have a friend that loves it. Good luck

Hi Julie,

And I'll be sure to let you know if I have any thing as well, both positive and negative.

Hi Tabby,

I've been removing it during intercourse. It's just too weird for me. LOL. It's not so big a deal for me to take it out and replace it, unles of course I fall asleep before putting it back in. That could happen. Luckily it's not for BC at all, so it wouldn't be a big deal. I can't feel it myself at all. I thought it would drive my crazy and that I'd feel it all the time, but oddly enough I don't at all. I can see where it might make some people nuts because they can feel it.

I'm using it only because it releases much less hormones than regular BCP do, which is a good thing for me. So far so good. No headaches, no BP problems. Whew.

Laura
