I used Nuvaring for a couple of years and I LOVED it. It was the best thing ever. It has the same rates of prevention as other birth control pills (works in the same way-releasing hormones). I switched docs and changed to a new pill (for hormonal balance reasons) and I can't tell you how many times I forget to take those things. I long for the Nuvaring days. Once you try it, you won't want to ever go back to pills!
Thanks for the input. I have already used it for one month and took it out on Monday. I still haven't got a period. How long did it usually take for your period to come?

I used NuvaRing for about a year and was loving it, but I had to go to the doc one day because I was super ill and had been for well over a week, and they told me I was having a miscarriage. So up until that point, I was a huge fan of it. Not so much now. It did stay in place for me, though, and it never got in the way of anything. ;-)
I used it for years and never had any issues with it, I did have migraines for a while during my period so we skipped the week of having it out, and I just put the next one in. So didn't get the withdrawl bleeds. I loved it.

I was on NuvaRing for three (I think) months. I hated it! I have the opposite problem of most PCOSer's in the sense that I alwayssssss have my period. The nuvaring didn't change this. I had it pretty much every 2 weeks like clockwork and the first week I had horrible cramps. I finally went off of it when I had the worst possible cramps and diarrhea to the point where I couldn't go to work. I've never hated a pill so much, I was alwaysss in pain. A day after I took it out, I went back to normal with my stomach and other weird pains that it caused. But, alas, the period problem remains.
