 NYC Doctor
If anyone is looking for a doctor in NYC area to diagnose PCOS I recommend Dr. Maria Tulpan (offices at E 20th St and E 85th St). I was desperate when I went to her after my Gyno/RE wouldn't give me prescription when my fasting insulin/glucose tests came back higher than normal results. Dr. Tulpan spent a good deal of time listening to my 8 yrs of symptoms/complaints, did all the tests to rule out other possibilities first and then agreed I had PCOS and put me on gluco. I almost cried with relief to finally have a doctor confirm what I've believed for 4 years. She specializes in adult diabetes so is familiar with glucophage and she seemed genuinely concerned and helpful. |
