O/T Anyone in Toronto/GTA know a good seamstress???
Yes I know how to use a phone book but I need a seamstress that's reasonably priced since I have alot of stuff that needs to be sewn and someone who actually knows how to sew.
There's nothing better than spending $160.00 on a pair of pants and having someone shorten them 3" too short and then have them try to charge you an additional $30.00 for their services
I am kind of desperate considering I can't sew at all. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated in the Toronto/GTA area.

I normally go to the dry cleaners for my basic stuff but I have 5 pairs of curtains I need shortened(It looks so easy to do)
As well I need curtains made for our front & back doors and if I could actually sew a straight line I could do it myself it's such a simple design. There is a place in Florida that does custom made door & sidelight curtains but they have not gotten back to me to let me know if they will ship to Canada so I am trying to find someone in the area that can do it.
Oh why oh why did they have to cancel Home Ec(sp?) the year I was supposed to take it?

If memory serves me correctly this is it. I've shot off an e-mail to my mom to confirm and I'll let you know. This places was recommended by a good friend that has had a lot of stuff done there. Last summer they hemmed a brides maids dress for me on rather short notice.
It's really easy to get to from the 401, just take the Brock exit and shoot straight up it.

Yup, that's the one. I don't remember what her pricing was like but they did an excellent job on my dress. I sew but there's no way I wanted to tackle that slippery/satin material.
