Can't believe the one that went, went. He was one of the best singers in it (Mind you, so was Robert, technically!)
The interesting thing about the final is - the show is called 'The X Factor', so it's about star quality/charisma. The worse of the two singers has the X Factor in spades. The 'good' singer of the two, from a musical point of view, has zero X Factor.
And the one who went out tonight? Of the three, he's the one who will have the biggest recording career, long term. Simon would be a fool if he doesn't sign him, too.

I wanted Robert to win, sooooo much. I honestly think it'll be the weakest one (technically) who'll win the series because they have such a massive following, and the tears help too
Actually, they all brought out the big guns last night.....dead cousin, hillborough reference etc etc. Whoever is coaching them on the sympathy votes, is doing a great job

Yep, both the surviving contestants did the cheesy pull-on-yer-heartstrings thing. (And not forgetting one of them's an experienced actor so should be able to sob at the drop of a hat!)
The better singer of the two wasn't above that either (pulling the dead cousin card).
I hate being manipulated. And being brought up with a semi-pro musician means I can hear a bum note at 60 paces. The warbler pulled several - put it down to nerves - but the more charismatic one... where to start! If he wasn't Simon's act he'd have been pulled apart weeks ago!
The only one last night that didn't go down that cheesy, look-at-me-I'm-emoting route was the one that left. Message in there for next year's contestants, eh? If you want to get to the final and you're in that crucial semi-final show... cry like a baby!
I'm happy so long as the wobbly lipped one don't win. I can't be doing with the Mariah Carey thing.

I think Ray will win but I think he should go into musicals, not chart.
Leona has way more talent but I feel sorry for whoever wins coz their 'career' more often than not seems to go down the pan after these shows. Hopefully her talent won't let her, if she does win.

Walking & Low Carbing to 146lbs - nearly there!
July 07 : 167lbs
Sept 07: 153lbs
Nov 07: 147lbs
May 08: 144lbs
July 08: 140lbs
I thought it was a sure thing the Leona and Ben would get into the final, was flabbergasted that Ray got it.
He knew what he was doing when he choose "You'll never walk alone" not only will he have got the Liverpool vote but also all Liverpool supporters votes, which leaves the half of Ireland who don't support Man Utd

all the Celtic fans up here will be voting him too...although, my hubby said that he was waaay off key a couple of times at the beginning and I agree, but he pulled it off at the end and people forgot once the tears started
