You're welcome! That's ok, you can get briefly political. It's not the fed gov. that's the problem in TX, it's the state government. The working class that doesn't have insurance is stuck. You make too much for help & you don't make enough to pay your own insurance (believe me, I've had some words w/ the TX Dept. of Insurance or the premiums on said insurance are so high that you can't afford other things!) Ok, off my soapbox for now

Oh to have my old MA health insurance back! Believe me, it was worth it not to move even though we would have never been able to afford a house in MA & we have so many great friends here (if DH ever heard me say that I think he'd faint)!

Starting and running a business here in New Jersey is horrible. Once McGreevey took office, my DH's business taxes went through the roof. I almost screamed when I heard him doing a radio commercial talking about how New Jersey is friendly to small businesses. Um, NOT!

Julie, I am so sorry, I just realized how that may have sounded. By no means did I mean to direct any critizism your way, i only meant to make sure that anyone who ever is considering electing it does not miss the deadline. As a benefit administrator i have learned it is crucial to stress deadlines so people don't loose insurance or have gaps in coverage etc. I guess I jumped on my soap box a little to fast The info link was meant for Bonnie in case she is interested i looking into cobra.

apologies if I came across any differently than that!

thanks
Zebra
