hello

sorry i wasnt around much yesterday, but i got the phone call all mothers dread. My son had an accident in school yesterday, when he was playing baseball. One of his team hit a baseball bat right into his head. He had a massive lump come up, so i had to take him to a & e. (emergency hospital)

Anyway, he's fine. had to rest a lot, no exercise, no puter, or school for a few days yet! So if im not around as much as usual, you'll know why.

aww, thanks the thing is, we live about a 20 min walk away (at my speed of walking, anyway) from school. But i got to school in 10 mins flat!

Glad that he is ok Eve...lots of hugs to you both.... coming from the other side of working in a school and being the first aider, it is also our worst fear! I always HATE having to call parents to say they've had an accident or bumped their heads....and you can never be too careful with any head injury...

aw, thanks. He seems a bit better today, thanks. But had a headache this morning, so he's off school. But playing this afternoon, so i think he wil be ok for school tomorrow. I'll just be at home with the phone in my hand 'in case' i get a phone call *sigh* thanks for asking
