Default o/t Oh No, I Think I'm Allergic to My Foundation

Hello

I think that Im getting allergic to my foundation (Revlon Colour Stay), as my cheeks are going bright red and spotty!! I have really really sensitive skin, so I wouldnt be surprised.

Anyway, I was wondering what everyone else used to cover the '5 oclock shadow etc' ??

Any help would be great. Thanks

Eva

Ello Eva

Could be the change in your diet's affecting your skin, too? It often gets worse before it gets better, dunno why...

I don't use foundation at all, I never got the hang of it. I just pluck and wax like a demon which also plays havoc with the skin, but no choice there!

Only stuff that touches my skin is Dr Hauschka's skincare range - I've raved about it ever since I found out about it. I use their cleanser, toner and rose day cream - no night creams allowed with Dr H! They're all organic and based on plants - most of the facial stuff based on rose/rosehip oil which I used to use to make creams myself, as I think anything rose based helps with the hormones a bit.

My skin's still not great but it's been the best it's ever been since I switched to Dr Hauschka - expensive but worth the money. Rose based products tend to calm down any redness, too - I've noticed a big improvement there, as I used to have more thread veins than I have since changing to it.

Any cosmetic grade rose water will do as a toner, and it can help calm down skin a lot because it's not only good for sorting out thread veins and redness, but it's quite astringent.

hi polly

thanks for the reply. I've not heard of the creams you use. Can you get them in town? Or are they mail order?
Thanks again for the reply. I did send you a quick little pm before I saw this reply.
