Question Oatmeal

Hi
Well, the constant struggle with low-carb is breakfast for me. Hate it because I just cannot eat eggs everyday. I do eat celery and peanut butter, cottage cheese w/ low-glycemic fruit, and peanut butter on low-carb bread..but in the winter I really like something hot.

The idea of oatmeal w/o granola, raisins, and some kind of berry is just not appealing to me. But, it is hot and has good fiber. But, it is low on protein. Does anyone have any ideas of a "topping" that I could do to boost the protein? Or, at least a low-carb topping?

Thanks,

KOK

The only thing I can think of is to make it with milk. The IR diet recommends making "power milk" by adding powdered milk to milk. Or you could eat some yogurt on it, whipped cream (sugar free), or have some eggs with your oatmeal. Does any of that work?

Oh, I had another idea! How about adding sugar free maple syrup to it? That sounds yummy... I think I'm going to do some of these myself! ^_^
