Arrow OB/GYN or Endo??

Hi All!

I was just wondering who you guys see? I'd like to get a referral from my family Dr. but I don't know what Dr. is better...Should I just go see both? Would they end up prescribing the same thing?? Thanks cysters!

I go to both, but my Endo is the one who prescribes my Metformin, but your OB/Gyn can put you on clomid. My Dr.'s work really well together and they keep in touch about my situation.

I would definitely see an endo for pcos. I have a great ob/gyn, but the endo is better for this.

I would definitely go to an endocrinologist. For years, I told my obgyn's (I think I saw 4 over 8 years, because of moving a few times and going away to school) I thought something wasn't right, and they always told me it was nothing to worry about, and that my cycle would be fine. Plus, PCOS is really an endocrine problem, more about hormones than anatomy.

Metformin, 1500mg/day
Prometrium- every 4 months
Wellbutrin XL, 300mg/day
Lorazepam, 1.5mg/day
Ambien, 5mg a few times a month

I have never been to an endo. My GYN is great. He writes my rx for Met and Spiro and does my exam each year.
