Hey girlies!!! WEEEEEEEEELL! I went to the DR yesterday to get my new RX for generic Yasmin "Ocella". I picked up the meds today and I'll be taking the first pill tonight! YAY!!! 
Oh yeah! While I was at Walmart picking up my Rx (Snellville, GA) the pharm. tech. didn't put in my insurance information so my total was $50. I asked how is that and if they had my insurance info on file. She took my information and guess how much my copay was....  $10!!!!!!! 
OMG!! I'm so excited! 
I've read that some chicks have complained of nausea and vomitting. I'll update you girls on how I feel for the next 7 days! So, I'll post in the morning of my feelings!

Greetings from Boston! I'm 44 and have been taking Yasmin for a few years as part of my HRT. While VERY happy that Ocella is now available (for $35 less than Yasmin!) I'm concerned that it may not really be exactly the same as Yasmin. I'd be very interested to know your reaction to the Ocella--I just picked up my 1st prescription of it. thank you! best to you! | |

I have been on Ocella since Friday the 11th! So far, I haven't had ANYTHING out of the norm. It's the same as Yasmin!

great! I was worried about that because I just received Ocella instead of Yasmin from my mail order pharmacy and did not know what on earth Ocella was! | |

Hi . I've taken yasmin for two months and its help me get a period. I feel fine on yasmin. Today i picked up my new RX and was given Ocella. I didnt realize it until tonight after Wal-greens was closed. I skipped yesterdays pill (sun) and not sure if i should take it tonight(mon). I dont know why wal greens gave me the generic instead of yasmin. My insirance covered my other two RX's. I'm a lil worried that my body will have to adjust to the ocella. I know it says its the same but sometimes your body might react differently to the new adjustment.
I was planning on calling the pharmacy to see why i was given generic $5.00 .was it because its cheaper my name brand yasmin cost me 10.00 and i'm fine with it. any tips?
would like to know how other who now take ocella adjusted to it after taking yasmin | |

This makes me happy! I switched to generic ortho cyclen because $30/mo was a lot for yasmin but I've had a lot of swelling since being off of it. I think I'll call my GYN and get a new Rx for this generic instead. | |

Well, I'm into the middle of my 3rd week on Ocella and I haven't had any complications at ALL! As a matter of fact, I don't notice any difference at all!

I came across this website searching for information on ocella. I started taking it a week and a half ago and have been really moody as well as breaking out on my face. I never break out or get acne. I will be picking up my new rx of yasmin tonight. I'm sure the reaction depends on how sensitive you are to hormones, which I obviously am. I don't have the patience (due to the ocella) to see if it equals out. | |

How do you know Ocella has made your patience shorter? Are you normally laid back and don't really care too much about what goes on?
Are you on a facial cleansing regiment? Do you NEVER get a pimple or blimish around the time your period should come on? Did you just stop taking Yasmin and jumped right into Ocella?
Have you also sent a letter to Barr and informed them of the changes you have endured since your change to Ocella from Yasmin?

I did a happy dance in the pharmacy when I found out I don't have to pay $30 per month for Yasmin any more. The pharmacists did the happy dance with me too. Thank God and about time!!!!!! I had been on it for 2 weeks and no side effects yet. | |

Well, I'm done with my active pills, so I'm on the sugar pills now and playing the waiting game for Aunt Flow!!! STILL... No side effects! :-)

I went ahead and started the Ocella. I'm on day 12. My face feels dyer, itchy and boke out a little but i feel calmer. On the yasmin my skin cleared up , skin looked and felt good but i was very irritated. I hope the ocella will help me lose some pounds  | |

I'm actually done with my first pack and AF is here! YAY!!!!!
I got a pimple in the MIDDLE of my forehead (looked like a hindu)!! My BF and mom pretty much got a kick out of it. Other than that, I haven't had any other complications.
