Default Odd Thing Happened While Tweezing/Plucking

Hello all!

I have an inquiry. I am in the middle of electrolysis treatments. In order to calm down my plucking fetish (yes, I believe it has come to that point), I allow myself to pluck a couple of hairs that were left untreated after an electrolysis session. So, today as I was plucking, a hair came out with root and all, including the gel-like transparent cover/coating attached to the hair itself; it was pretty thick. It was pretty awkward since it's probably the second time that it has happened. A few seconds after that, the follicle opening started to bleed. Has that ever happened to anyone on this board, where they were plucking and they started to bleed (and I don't mean injury done to the skin itself, but just a clean pluck)?

I am going to assume that perhaps I was treated on that particular follicle but it wasn't killed the first time. Maybe it was weak and that's why the root and coating came completely out and I began to bleed. Any similar experiences?

This happens a lot when I pluck, particuarly with chin hair. The bleeding stops pretty quickly. I wouldnt worry about it. I doubt it has anything to do with electrolysis but since I've never had it I couldnt say for sure.

Goodluck with the treatments

It happens all the time to me. Its actually satisfying knowing I've taken it completely out and haven't just broken it off at the surface.
(I should also note that I use no form of hair removal, just tweezing the odd hair on my face although my legs/thighs/pubic area needs a great deal more but I'll wait until the summer to deal with that... *laughs*)

I love it when that happens! It often happens when I'm plucking my eyebrows. As far as I know, it's normal.

I almost always get the root and all and the transparent coating too. I rarely bleed though. I think I have a tweezing fetish too! I get a great sense of satisfaction from knowing I have gotten a lot of hairs off my face!

Hmmm, when I pluck, I usually get that thick clear coating around what appears to be the root. Never have bled, though.

I get it, too. I've bled every now and then though.

That is normal. You're getting the whole hair including the root. It will last longer that way.
