My ex OB/GYN put me on Loestrin 24 Fe after I had a terrible time with Yasmin. I no longer use this OB/GYN b/c they coded my visit wrong (as routine preventative care) and would not correct it. So I had to pay everything including lab and follow ups for my PCOS diagnosis b/c my preventative care was maxed out. It got ugly and I won't be back. However, my RX is about to run out and I am not able to get into a new ob/gyn before it runs out. There are a couple months wait to everyone I call for a new patient.

I do not want to go off of this Loestrin b/c I've had no problems with it, so I was wondering if I can maybe go to a family physician just to get a RX until I can get into a ob/gyn again? Will they think i'm crazy to make an appt just to get bc? or is that common?

I think it would be fine. I had to get a new prescription from my new gyno before I really considered him "mine," because my refills ran out and my former RE wouldn't give me any if I was leaving.
