Office Closing Announced Today

Hello Cysters,
Well, today made it official. The company is closing my office in early 2005. The relocation offer is * NOT * an option for professional and personal reasons. I need thanksgiving prayers for Jehovah Jireh --- God will provide. I want to relocate to another city, purchase a car, establish a business, purchase a home, and adopt a child in this particular city. I'm concerned not worried about the situation. I need encouragement and, of course, thanksgiving prayers to uplift, speak into existence what I'm asking God for in Jesus' name, seeking the Heavenly and earthly promises, and knocking to put God in remembrance of His word.

I am sending prayers your way. I have been where you are and getting laid off from my job was the best thing that could have happened to me. Of course I didn't feel that way while it happened, but now I see God had it all worked out for my good.

Jer 29:11 is a good verse to pray!

Thank you so very much. Esp. for reminding me of Jeremiah 29:11. I've been seriously thinking and wondering * o, ohh that can be scary * that God has been trying to get me somewhere, but I've been dragging my feet. Now, He has changed the game, so that I have to make a change for my own good. The crux of the matter is I know the change will be good; I just don't like to take the growing stages to get there. I'm guilty of the bad habit of either sitting on my bum or racing full speed ahead and do everything at once. I "fear" * yes, fear -- shame on me * that God wants me to take this next adventure, journey in life step by step. Which, of course, makes me antsy. Not about God's part, but about mine. UGGGGHHHH.... I don't want to be a grown-up today, maybe tomorrow.

Once again, thank you for the listening and the prayers. I guess I'll behave now.

I am the same way! I think that is why I was laid off from my job. I felt like I should have left a long time ago but I was comfortable and I was good at it so I stayed put. God has a way of moving us! It would have been better if I had listened to Him in the first place but He is so loving He moved me and still took care of my every need.
