I have extremelely oily hair, and the only thing i've ever found to work for me (Spiro didn't help) was using a shampoo with mint.
One of my favorites is Aveda Rosemary Mint products. They've allowed me to go 2 days without washing my hair. It really sucks the oil right out.
Also, Bath and Body Works has that Aromatherapy line, and they have a Eucalyptus Spearmint shampoo/conditioner that's also pretty awesome.

So just look for products with menthol, rosemary, or some kind of mint.

Burt's Bees also makes a rosemary mint shampoo (in a bar! It's awesome, I love it).

I tend to use a conditioner only once or twice a week, and a light one at that. I use shampoo for dry/damaged/coloured hair and it really helps with making it through the day not looking terrible. All bets are off after about 18 hours, though. -.-

I have very oily skin too. I have found proactive to be helpful for me. I also use clean & clear oil absorbing sheets throughout the day. They work well. I'm not sure if proactive is safe while TTC and pregnant

My hair and skin are mega oily too. I lookdisgusting by 5pm every day and can not even think about not washing my hair every day. I have to blot my face serveral times a day so I don't look like an oil slick, however, I started Yaz and Met about a month ago and now my hair and skin are normal, its crazy. I live in FL and its summer and usually this would be the worst time for me but my hair and face still look great at the end of the day. And my acne is clearing up!! I am not sure which med is responible but I would like to give it a big fat kiss.

I've always had this weird combo of oily scalp with tangly straight hair. I used to use tons of (very expensive) conditioner to deal with the tangles and my scalp would get so greasy by the end of the day. I was in Chicago recently for a wedding and a woman at a salon suggested Bumble and Bumble seaweed shampoo. The stuff is amazing. No more conditioner necessary (tangles come right out) and my scalp isn't nearly as oily. I love it.
